Danielle Beattie (Nithsdale AC) used this open meeting to her advantage by slicing further seconds off her 1500m PB. Since winning national cross country bronze in February, Danielle has gone from strength to strength, winning two national track bronzes and setting new PBs across the middle distance spectrum. She finished 7th in her heat, crossing the line in 4:56.43.

Hope Robertson and Kirsty Yates competed for Team Edinburgh and Team Glasgow respectively.

Hope finished 3rd in the 100m A string and 1st in the 200m B string, although both events were wind assisted. She ran 12.38 in the 100m (+4.4m/s) and 25.72 in the 200m (+2.4m/s).

Kirsty took victories in the 100m Hurdles and Shot, plus was 3rd in the Hammer B string. She won the Hurdles in 16.62 (+3.6m/s) and although was down on her best, won the Shot in 11.58m. Her hammer mark was 32.15m.
