Nithsdale AC's Open Graded Meeting was the focus for the region's athletes on the 4th April. Despite numbers being down over previous years, the athletes and officials ensured that a highly comptetive and enjoyable day was had. Highlights included Fraser White's sheer determination to beat rival Kieran Saunders in a sprint at the end of the mile and Robson McKay's confident victory in the 600m. The sprinters and Long Jumpers were competiting into a headwind but that didn't seem to put off Kirsty Barr, who leapt a massive 5.43m.
