Scottish Masters Championships

A select team of 4 athletes brought home a big return of 12 medals from their outdoor championships.
A big winner was James Sloan (ADAC) in the M65 category. He brought home golds in the HJ, Shot, Discus and Javelin. His winning marks were 1.20m, 10.17m, 35.03m and 29.61m respectively.
Joyce Rammell (Nithsdale AC) also dominated the throws in the F60 category with wins in the Shot, Discus and Hammer. In the shot she threw a PB of 8.74m, improving on her 8.59m best from 2006. In the Discus, she was slightly down on her SB with 21.80m. She also won the Hammer with a PB of 29.32m.
John Birkett (ADAC) was another thrower competing, this time in the M50 category. He was 2nd in the Discus with 20.97m, a metre down on his SB. However, he recorded victories in the Shot and Javelin with 9.51m (an outdoor SB) and 24.27m (a SB and not too far off his PB.)
Last but not least was relative youngster Eric Dunion (ADAC) in the M45 category. He finished 3rd in both the 100m and 200m with 12.98 and 26.99.
