Kirsty Yates (Stewartry AC), Nicola Hood (VP-Glasgow) and Jane Scott (Stewartry AC) competed at the Scottish Senior Championships, with Kirsty bringing home a silver medal.

Kirsty, Scotland's leading Under 17 shot putter, acquitted herself well with a 12.01 put in 2nd place. The winner was Mhairi Porterfield (Pitreavie AAC), who is about 12 years older than Kirsty, giving her plenty of time to catch up!

Nicola ran in the 1500m instead of the steeplechase due to the European Under 20 trials taking place this weekend. She was looking for a PB but there were too many factors against her. She finished 5th in her heat with 4:42.56, only a second away from a PB.

Jane competed in 4 events. Her best performance came in her 100m Hurdles heat, where she ran a PB of 15.53 to finish 3rd with no wind whatsoever. The conditions weren't as favourable for the final. Jane finished 6th in 16.51 into a -2.4 headwind. She also jumped a 50cm PB in the Triple Jump. She finished 5th with 10.92, again with no wind. Jane also finished 8th in the Long Jump with 5.29m, close to her PB, and 6th in the High Jump with 1.50m.
