New PBs for Hood and Vernon

There were new PBs for Nicola Hood (VP-Glasgow) and David Vernon (Nithsdale AC) at the St Marys Track Classic and BMC Nike Grand Prix respectively.

After being disappointed with her performance at Loughborough, Nicola made up for it with a 4 second PB in the 2K S/C. The GB representative was 2nd behind BUCS silver medallist Laura Parker in 6:49.71. This was her 1st time under the 6:50 mark.

David was 13th in a fast race in Manchester. The position was not important though, as he stormed to a 7 second PB in 4:05.82. This places him at the top of the Scottish Under 17 rankings.

Earlier in June on the 3rd, David also ran a 3K best of 9:01.83 at Grangemouth. This qualifies him for the England Athletics Championships in August.
