Scottish Primary School XC Championships
24th April 2010
Kirkcaldy

Some of the region's schools entered their runners into the Scottish Primary Schools XC Championships. There was some great performances to be had and the region produced two medallists in the P6 Boys and Girls L-Z category.

Ellie Paisley (Langholm PS) comes from a very talented sporting family, with older sister Aylish taking a bronze medal at the Secondary Schools XC Championships in March and brother Jamie also doing well on the country. Ellie continued the Paisley family sporting success with a victory in her race. She won by 2 seconds in 6:12.

Robson McKay (Nithsdale AC/Langholm PS) is beginning to make a name for himself on the track with some fine performances over 600m (PB 1:53.9). He also took victory at the Annan River Races in March. On this occasion he finished 2nd by 13 seconds in 6:03 but Robson is definitely one to watch.
