4 of the region's female athletes competed for their respective teams in the 2nd of the Scottish Women's Athletics League meetings.
Hope Robertson (Edinburgh AC) was once again to the fore in the sprints with victory in the 100m and 2nd place in the 200m. Both were heavily marred by strong headwinds. In the 100m, Hope ran a time of 12.9 into a -1.8 wind. In the 200m, she ran a good 25.6 into a -2.8 headwind, only losing out to Pitreavie's Stephanie Walker, who was given the same time.
Jane Scott (Stewartry AC), competing for Team Lothian competed in 100m Hurdles, High Jump and Long Jump. In the Hurdles she equalled her personal best of 15.6, although this time it was into a -1.1 headwind, rather than a 1.1 tailwind. She finished 2nd in the A string. In the HJ, Jane equalled her PB of 1.55m to finish 4th in the A string. Finally, in the LJ, she finished 1st in the B string with a leap of 5.15. Jane has never jumped below 5m this season.
Katy Brown and Kirsten Gair (both Stewartry AC) competed for Team West in the Under 17 and Under 15 age groups respectively. Katy finished 4th in a highly competitive 800m race with 2:20.3, her 2nd fastest time ever. Kirsten competed in the discus, finishing 6th in the A string with her 2nd furthest throw ever of 20.35m.
