National XC Relays - Cumbernauld 24/10/08
Nicola Hood (VP-Glasgow) ran impressively to bring the VP-Glasgow team from 11th to 6th on the last leg, on what was an extremely miserable day. Her 17:08 clocking round the 4k course was the 6th fastest time overall and the was the 3rd fastest Under 20, behind Danielle Brown and team-mate Josephine Moultrie.
Cumbria League - Penrith 25/10/08
Angus Johnstone (Nithsdale AC) started his season with a bang as he ran to victory in the Under 11s boys race. His time of 6:54 gave him a six second lead over his nearest opponent. Lewis Holliday (Annan) wasn't far behind in 5th place (7:15).
Laura Penrice (Stewartry AC) also ran well to finish 3rd in the Under 13 Girls. Although well behind winner Abbie Hetherington, who was in a class of her own, Laura wasn't too far off 2nd place. Her time was 12:31.
